Nike and errors in WhatsApp Marketing: a warning for companies

Nike Italia recently launched a WhatsApp Marketing campaign which, rather than exciting, offered an insight into what not to do in this area. Their initiative revealed several critical aspects in managing customer-company communication via this platform.

The clumsy attempt

Starting with a QR Code on a digital landing page, rather than an intuitive click-to-chat, the first interaction already proved to be not very functional. An initiative like this on WhatsApp requires immediate ease of use, which does not force the user to jump between different devices.

The empty chat

Inside the chat, there is no welcome message or instructions on what to do or write. An auto-responder could have made a difference, welcoming the user and guiding them in the next steps, but its absence has left an unacceptable communication gap in today's digital marketing.

The wrong choice of platform

Using the standard version of WhatsApp, rather than the Business version, took away the possibility of exploring the potential of a well-structured catalog and other essential features for an optimal purchasing experience.

Late and unoptimized response

The response that arrived after a long wait was a block of text that was difficult to read, unappealing and far from being an effective communication.

The added value of Sendapp in WhatsApp Marketing

This is where Sendapp comes into play, an innovative platform for WhatsApp Marketing. Sendapp is a tool that allows you to automate communication, organize an interactive product catalog and provide immediate responses to customers thanks to an advanced auto-responder system. This ensures a higher quality user experience and allows you to keep the customer engaged and informed, increasing the likelihood of conversions and loyalty.

Conclusions and future prospects

Nike's experience serves as a reminder: WhatsApp Marketing requires a well-researched approach and dedicated tools. Sendapp emerges as a crucial resource in this scenario, offering companies the possibility of implementing an effective, personalized and automated communication strategy, capable of enhancing every point of contact with the customer. With Sendapp, WhatsApp Marketing becomes a powerful ally for business, avoiding the mistakes made by Nike and transforming the messaging platform into a real sales and engagement tool.
