WhatsApp Business is a platform designed for small and medium-sized businesses. It lets you set up away messages for when you're unavailable or online.

In this article, we'll discuss the process of distributing autoresponder messages for your business.

Setting automatic messages on Whatsapp Most companies work 8-12 hours a day. Therefore, while you may only be available from nine to five, your customers will interact with companies based on their convenience. These customers miss out on revenue-generating opportunities. A company that interacts with its customers only eight hours a day loses more than two-thirds of its potential revenue. An away message lets you let your customers know you're away and encourages them to move through the funnel more easily.

Using Whatsapp Business, you can set up automatic responses and schedule them according to the desired times.

The first step to doing this is deciding who receives what message. You can decide whether a single out-of-office message is sent to all your customers or to specific customers.

The second step is to program the out-of-office message to run at a specific time. The recommended activation time is during business hours.

If a customer contacts you during these "absent" hours, the messages will be sent according to your preferences.

STEPS TO SET THE AUTOMATIC ANSWER:

  1. Tap the three vertical dots at the top right of your WhatsApp app. From there, click Settings, followed by Company settings and finally on MAbsent essay.
  2. Now, activate the "Send message" on / off button.
  3. Next, enter your “away” message or tap it to edit the message that will be sent to your customers accordingly.
  4. After modifying the message, select the type of schedule to understand when to schedule the messages to be distributed.
  5. Then, select the recipients to whom you want to send the message.

PROGRAMMING OF SENDING MESSAGES:

  • Always Schedule: Select this option when you're out of town and can't talk to your customers for days on end.
  • Custom Schedule: This option should be selected when you want to send absence messages only during a certain duration. Set a duration and if a customer sends you an SMS during this time, you will activate an absence message.
  • Outside of working hours: This feature is based on your specified working hours in your profile. Once set up, out-of-office messages will be sent automatically if a response is received outside of working hours.

HOW TO SELECT THE RECIPIENTS

  • All: single model for all customers.
  • All except some: all customers, except some.
  • Some of the contacts: only a few customers receive the message sent

It is important to note two things.

  1. Save all changes.
  2. Keep in mind that your absence messages will only be sent when you have an active Internet connection.
