Scam messages on WhatsApp: watch out for & #8220; New Year Virus & #8221;

In these hours there is a lot of talk about scam messages on Whatsapp of & #8220;New Year's virus & #8221;. It is a very banal scam, actually, but given the festive period, you want to have some new gadgets, you want for the numbness given by the rubbish, it could prove more effective than usual. So after the notice of the Postal Police to pay attention to theft of accounts via SMS, here is another catch.

Summarizing it very simply: it is one chain of Sant & #8217; Antonio where i sent messages contain links to virus-infected web pages. Following these links can compromise the integrity of your smartphone or computer, be exposed to invasive advertisements, be induced to provide sensitive personal data or register for subscription junk services. The links are generally disguised as greeting messages; to read them you must click on the links that refer to the following domains (we remove points and dashes to prevent someone from clicking on us by mistake):

  • Touch here site
  • My love co nat

It is therefore correct to specify that the so-called New Year's virus it is not a virus of Whatsapp, but a cheap scam that spreads through WhatsApp, which d & #8217; on the other hand is the Most popular messaging client of all, and therefore it is easier for someone to bite. The advice is obviously NOT to follow the link and possibly block the sender, if it is not known. If it is, it should be pointed out to him that his device has probably been compromised.
