Block Call Center Calls with the Public Opposition Register

The Public Registry of Objections (RPO) is an effective tool for blocking annoying call center calls on your landline. Here's how to do it:

Step 1: Registration in the Public Register of Oppositions

Registration for the RPO is free and can be done in various ways:

Online registration in the Public Register of Oppositions

  1. Visit This Page.
  2. Decide whether to log in without authentication or use the Public Digital Identity System (SPID) for authentication.
  3. Fill out the form with your details and specify the numbers you wish to register.
  4. Next, verify the numbers you want to register by calling the indicated number and wait for the call to drop.
  5. Finally, click on the confirmation button.

Registration via telephone

  1. Call 800 957 766 if you want to register a landline number or 06 42986411 for a mobile number.
  2. Follow the voice instructions to proceed with registration.

Registration via Email

  1. Visit This Page.
  2. Download the registration form via email.
  3. Fill out the form with the requested information.
  4. Send the completed form via email to associazione@registrodelleopposizioni.it.

Step 2: Timings and Other Useful Information

After completing your registration, the Public Registry of Oppositions should protect you within 15 days. If you continue to receive calls from call centers after this period, there are some actions you can take:

  • Check the status of your case using the code provided after registration.
  • If you are not registered, you may have given consent to receive advertising calls via online services or subscription contracts.
  • Ask call center operators for the list from which they obtained your number and ask them to remove your number from that list.

Please note that the Public Registry of Oppositions does not inhibit calls from foreign call centers as they are not obliged to follow Italian regulations on telemarketing.
